Biology is the scientific field concerned with the study of life. Sciences known collectively as "biology" include botany, the study of plants; ornithology, the study of birds; zoology, the study of animals; ecology, the study of the ecosystem; entomology, the study of insects; and other sciences. Biology concerns such topics as cell structure, pathology and medicine, behavior of living organisms, and organ systems.
